Folkestone Rowing Club is a "Community Amateur Sports Club" and as such the club hosts more than just rowing. The club was founded in 1852 with the constitutional aims of promoting Rowing and Fishing. Since, the club has grown and incorperated more sports.

Membership Types

ROWING
Rowing Memebership is for all rowers over the age of 18 and under 65. This incorperates competetive and social rowing. We teach people from scratch and follow a process which includes technique in the dry. Why not come and try it first!! The cost is £50 per year.
JUNIOR (rowing)
Junior membership is only available for under 18's who wish to participate in rowing activities. This includes coxing and indoor rowing. The cost is £30 per year.
SOCIAL
Social membership incorperates all other sports and non-sporting members.The cost per year is £50.
SENIOR CITIZENS
Senior citizens membership is for those over 65 years of age and any catagory. The cost per year is £30
COUNTRY
Country membership is for those members who live outside of a 50 mile radius of the club and wish to be social members. The cost per year is £15

HOW TO JOIN

Come in and meet us! The membership form indicates "proposer" and "Seconder" and countersigned by a committee member. Well you may not know anyone in the club so pop in and meet us. Ask over the bar for guidance on who to see. 50% of people who join dont know anyone when they start!
The membership fee needs to be included with the application form. This is simple and can be done by Cash, Cheque, Chip & PIN or Standing Order transfer
